Dreamseeds Herb Center
About Dreamseeds
Dreamseeds is the artistic work of herbalist Kristena Roder and carpenter husband, Ray.
We have 9 children between us, some of which help us at the center.
We were blessed in 2007 with 2 granddaughters as well.
Ray has been building things for over 30 years. Kristena has been studying with Heart of Herbs Master Herbalist program and is the founder of Dreamseeds.
The herb center is our newest project. We are taking baby steps to cultivate endangered herbs that grow well in our regions such as Goldenseal, Black Cohosh and American Ginseng. Other herbs for our soap, salves, sprays, creams, oils, tinctures, and personal use items will also be grown here. We hope the center will become a healing sacred space for our family and community. We live on a tiny lot in town, so what we are doing is a new thing here.
Please subscribe to our blog for classes, workshops and activities going on here for best up to date info. You may also check here for updates, although I find I am better at updating the blog.

2008 Herb Walk Schedule
This is the tentative schedule for 2008. I've tried to pick dates that will be pertinent to the various phases of the plants I'm most interested in, but if there's something in particular that you'd like to see, let me know and we'll try to schedule one at the time you'd like if it doesn't coincide with the one's I've already scheduled.
March 23, 2008 - bloodroot blooming
June 7, 2008 - goldenseal fruit green
June 28, 2008 - ginseng fruit green, black cohosh blooming
August 30, 2008 - ginseng fruit ripe
Nov 8, 2008 - goldenseal root harvest, ginseng transplant, ginseng seeding time, witch hazel blooming
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Herb walks, group rate $25/ea
(walks are fairly to very strenuous, see plants growing in native/natural environment, 2-5 hours)
Medicine trail (under construction) $10/ea
(much easier herb walk, along trail planted with various medicinals, 1-2 hours)
Individual Herb Day, $150/ea
(learn to identify, gather, prepare, and use whatever herbs are in season, 5 + hours)
To sit with plants privately, first time $10/ea, then no charge for later sessions unless you need a guide to show you to and from location.
------------
For all activities a 'hold harmless' release is required. The terrain here is rough and our hikes take place in areas fully natural and wild. I cannot be responsible for injuries that may occur through no fault of my own during walks or private sitting sessions with plants.
